Firefox for Maemo 1.0 has released

Just after 3 days of the release of Firefox for Maemo RC3, Firefox has officially announced Version 1.0 of Firefox for the Nokia's Maemo Platform. This is the first mobile web browser released by Firefox and its the first moblie browser that supports addons, the charm of Firefox ;).

As per Mozilla, this browser is recommended for only Nokia n900, although it can be used on both n800 and n810 Internet tablets. But a good thing to brag about is the support for addons which set it apart from all other mobile browsers, Opera Mobile and Opera Mini. So, we can expect such and hopefully more enhanced features in the later mobile releases of Firefox browser. Lets first talk about this one.

You might remember the sudden move by Mozilla to disable the support for plugins from the browser by default in the RC3 a few days ago. This was because the flash on some websites was degrading the performance of the browser. But since its working well on Youtube the users are strongly recommended to use the Youtube Enabler to enable flash for youtube.
