Microsoft fixes a Security Hole in Internet Explorer "Aurora"
Microsoft Finally fixes the bug in its Internet Explorer, which is known as "Operation Aurora".
Operation Aurora was a cyber attack conducted in mid-December 2009 and continuing into early January 2010. The attack was publicly disclosed by Google on Jan. 12 in a blog posting. Google in its blog said the attack originated in China.
Chinese hacker have used this to gain unauthorized access to data belonging to couple of targeted indivisuals. This bug was used to target bigger companies like Google, Yahoo, Adobe Systems, Symantec, Rackspace.
Hackers can lure people to Web pages containing malicious code, then exploit the browser flaw to take over their computers.
The patch updates all the versions of Internet Explorer that are still supported from IE 5.01 to IE8. If your browser dont have automatic updates, i suggest you download the patch right now.
