Weave 1.0 is out, start syncing all your Firefox installations

Mozilla Labs have announced the release of Weave 1.0 for both Desktop and mobile Firefoxversions. Just install the addon and you can easily sync your firefox profile data on all your Firefox installations.

Weave is an open source software developed by mozilla labs which helps you sync your Firefox bookmarks, saved passwords, browsing history and "even the open browser" tabs across all your supported devices securely, making your web experience more personal and useful.

Weave is available as a Firefox addon and can be installed from here. Since its is available for mobile versions too, you can comfortably sync "Firefox for Maemo", the Firefox for smartphones, with your Desktop. In order to use weave, all you need is a weave account, which are free to create. The data is encrypted before syncing so there is no doubt about the security.

Things it doesn't Sync

As you might have noticed, there is still a lot of stuff weave doesn't sync, your addons, several customizations, search plugins etc. So, the weave developers are planning to include the support to sync all such browser info in future releases to make your firefox and web experience more personal.
