After trying out Macbuntu on my system I can proudly say that no other OS has more flexible theming capablities than Linux. I think you would have guessed by now what Macbuntu does. It modifies your Ubuntu theme to look exactly like MacOS X. And if you have a decent Internet connection to download a few packages then it will hardly take  a few minutes to get it done.

Chrome overtakes Safari, now holds Third place in US Browser Market

According to the statcounter's last week update, Chrome has finally overtaken Safari and has now earned Third position in the US Browser market. On an International scale, Chrome is way ahead of Safari, with more than twice its market share, but for the first time it has conquered it in United States.

Canonical is NOT developing an Ubuntu Tablet Edition, says Shuttleworth

The man behind Canonical, Mark Shuttleworth, has scratched all the circulating rumours about Canonical working on an Ubuntu Tablet Edition. He said that Ubuntu is all about Servers, Desktops and Netbooks; there are no plans for bringing Ubuntu to a smartphone or Tablet as of now. The rumours were based on an interview with, Chris Kenyon, Canonical's Vice-President of OEM, where he showed company's interest in entering the mobile devices market.

iPhone owns three times Android's mobile market share

With all speculations being made these days about the ongoing war between Android and iPhone, it seems that Android still has a long way to go. A report published by the research firm Nielsen shows that iPhone owns three times more market share than Android.

Survey shows that Developers prefer Apple over Android

The Q2 mobile developer survery, conducted by Appcelerator, the makers of Titanium platform for building mobile and desktop apps, shows that Developers are more interested in developing applications for Apple's iOS than Android. They do accept the fact that Android has a lot of potential but would prefer iOS because of its better app store and bigger market for mobile apps.

Next Android release, aka Gingerbread, to bring Improved UI

Since the last two releases, Android Development team seems to be pretty happy with the core functionalities. The latest agenda for the team is to work on a better User Interface to improve the End user experience.
