Ubuntu Rescue Remix is an Ubuntu based Operating System that runs from a Live CD. It is used for data recovery and forensic work. Therefore, it has all the best open source data recovery and forensic tools. There is no provision for graphical interface till now, it is completely command line based.

So, the next time you want to recover some data or get some hands on computer forensics download the Ubuntu Rescue Remix ISO, burn it and get started.
