Gingerbread's rumours denied by Android's Tech Lead

"Android 3.0, releasing in mid-oct, will need at least 1GHz processor, 512 MB RAM, a display with 1280x760 resolution". This recent news has created a lot of buzz among Android fans. If you see carefully, hardly any phones today meet such specs. So, is Google going to alienate most of the Eclair/Froyo running phones? Actually not. In a tweet, Dan Morrill, Android opensource and compatibility Tech lead, declared that the news is made up.
