Apple's Safari on iOS4 is miles behind Android 2.2's web browser in Javascript Race

Based on pure Javascript tests conducted by ArsTechnica to compare the recently released Android 2.2 and iOS4, results show some great performance by the Android browser. The credit goes to the new JIT engine in Froyo which has heavily optimized the browser.

Survey shows that Developers prefer Apple over Android

The Q2 mobile developer survery, conducted by Appcelerator, the makers of Titanium platform for building mobile and desktop apps, shows that Developers are more interested in developing applications for Apple's iOS than Android. They do accept the fact that Android has a lot of potential but would prefer iOS because of its better app store and bigger market for mobile apps.

Next Android release, aka Gingerbread, to bring Improved UI

Since the last two releases, Android Development team seems to be pretty happy with the core functionalities. The latest agenda for the team is to work on a better User Interface to improve the End user experience.
